Billing Specialist (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Corona, CA (Onsite)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
Reports To: Accounting Manager
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Pay rate : $21 to $24/hr.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our accounting team in Corona. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with logistics and transportation industry experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. The company processes approximately $4 million in monthly billing volume and generates approximately 120 invoices per day.

The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent attendance, a positive attitude, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Distribute revenue from rated bills of lading accurately and timely to ensure proper allocation to drivers, sales representatives, and agents associated with each order.
  • Post revenue and invoice-related shipments, including agent storage invoices.
  • Generate and distribute invoices in a timely manner to maximize company receivables.
  • Coordinate with the reconciliation team to post revenue adjustments and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Perform special projects and assignments as directed by the Accounting Manager.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when processing high-volume billing transactions.

Qualifications

Required

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent attendance and reliability.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office:
    • Excel (basic formulas, sorting, filtering, inserting and deleting rows/columns)
    • Word
    • Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • High level of computer literacy and ability to learn billing systems.

Preferred

  • Experience in logistics, transportation, moving, or freight-related industries.
  • Familiarity with industry terminology, including:
    • Freight
    • LTL (Less-Than-Truckload)
    • Shuttle
    • 3PL (Third-Party Logistics)
    • Bill of Lading (BOL)
    • Load Confirmation
    • Rate Confirmation
  • Experience with Movers Suite software.
